Happy Holidays! We’ve enjoyed time with family and friends this Christmas and we hope you have too. If you’re a new subscriber, I host Family Fun Friday every week and I usually feature the best blog posts from the previous week’s party. We highlight wonderful ideas for family fun, delicious recipes, activities for teaching young children and so much more. The next two weeks will be a bit different due to the holidays but we will resume regular blog posts of Family Fun Friday, encouraging words for moms, and Preschool Tools and our Alphabet Series in the new year.
BLOGGERS: Now through New Year’s I’ll be hosting Family Fun Friday but gathering all the entries for a huge list of features in the New Year. Invite your friends to the party! Please share your best posts from 2013 for a chance to be featured at our Kick-Off in January. I’d love to see your MOST POPULAR POSTS of 2013. Let’s highlight the best. Your post can be on anything as long as it’s family friendly and fun. The round-up of YOUR best will go live on January 2 – our first party of 2014 wooo-hoo!
Family Fun Christmas Pics
I rarely post family updates on my blog, but I thought ya’ll might like some of these pictures as they exemplify holiday fun. This first picture is of my adorable boys sledding in the snow. Daddy is pulling the sled. I enjoyed all the laughter and giggles as the boys played in the snow.
Retelling the Christmas story using our beloved book “The Story of Christmas” by Intervisual Books. Its a beautiful pop-up book that I got at Family Christian bookstore. We like to tell the Christmas story after we eat supper as a part of our Advent activities in December.
Even though the weather has been chilly, we managed to make it outside for some fun on the slide at the local playground. This is my 3 1/2 year old who had a blast climbing up and down the play gym.
Santa Claus stopped by our house in miniature form. He also looks just like my 23 month old. 🙂
The weather has been nice enough that we’ve been able to spend some time walking around and visiting our neighbor’s homes. We loved all the lights, nativities, blow-up snowmen, and reindeer. The boys had so much fun looking at Christmas lights.
Homemade, buttery Christmas cookies coated in chocolate and decorated with sprinkles. I made these with the boys and our whole family will be enjoying these over the holidays. If there was a way to do it, I’d have all my readers over for chocolate-coated cookies and hot-cocoa. Now that would be a party! 😉
I hope you’re enjoying the Christmas season and the New Year surrounded by family and friends. What kinds of things is your family enjoying over the holidays? Feel free to leave a comment and Merry Christmas!
