If you can just imagine bacon coated in caramelized brown sugar and spiced with a touch of sea salt… well, that is what this delicious fish tastes like. And the really good news – one ounce of bacon is 152 Calories; and salmon is only 59 Calories per ounce.
Cedar Planked Salmon – Sugar and Spice
Now this is a sultry seafood dish that takes almost no effort to prepare.
Why? Well, you can just pick it up at your local Kroger store in the frozen Seafood section of the store.
It comes already prepared with seasonings and marinade and is placed on a pre-soaked cedar plank that is ready for the grill. Just unwrap it and you are ready! The typical serving is 24 ounces and takes between 15 and 18 minutes to cook on the grill — on a medium to medium high heat. Instructions for oven cooking (if you prefer oven over grilling) are included with the salmon packaging.

Step 3: Place the veggies in a grill basket.

Step 5: Sprinkle on some olive oil and sea salt for extra flavor.
Fuel & Fresh Summer with Kroger
If you’ve never stopped by a Kroger store to check out their fresh produce, you really need to have a look. They offer everything from organic to freshly peeled, cut and ready to eat produce.
Everything is easy to find and there are loads of fresh, locally-sourced, offerings that make the perfect pairing for your next cook-out or end-of-summer BBQ.
And, with Kroger’s fuel points program, with certain purchases you can easily get great deals on gas by shopping at Kroger. Earning fuel rewards is easy with the loyalty card, and earning discounts on fuel at the pump is another reason why our family loves to shop at Kroger.
They also have a ton of great supplies for back to school. I picked up sandwich boxes, pencils, paper and more; and was able to add the rewards from my purchases towards discounts at the gasoline pump.
Save up to $1.00 per Gallon
If you enjoy saving money on gasoline, make sure to sign up for their shopper card at Kroger or a Kroger banner store. Details on the program here: Kroger Rewards Program.
