Family Fun
The theme from last week is get outside and get wet! Kids love playing and when the weather is good there are lots of fun things to do. Our Family Fun Friday bloggers shared some wonderful tips for outdoor and summertime fun in their posts last week and I’ve included a list of five frugal ideas, to help you save money, and a post to help you make family meal times happen. Keep coming back every Friday for some fabulous ideas for family fun all summer long!
- Beautifully written and insightful, I love this post by Summer who blogs at OutsideKid.com. In her post One Year Later – Outside Kid. She writes, “the foundation you are laying today will affect them the rest of their lives. The energy and passions, love of life and nature and beauty that you instill in your children these few short years will very soon become a part of who they are. It doesn’t take long. My story is living proof.” A must-see post in my book.
- Candy at Moms Morning Coffee shared her ideas for Frugal Fun Family Ideas. Candy writes, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Who wants to be dull? Not me!” Amen Candy. 🙂
- You’ll enjoy the lovely pics and story behind the Photo Scavenger Hunt happening over at My Big Fat Happy Life. What a great idea for learning and play!
- Amy at The Connection We Share posted some great Summer Safety Ideas. This list includes things I should think if but often forget. Thanks Amy!
- Alexa – I loved the pics and treasures from your post Exploring the Beach Alexa blogs over at Joys of the Journey and and she includes a list of crafts she intends to do with her little one based on the treasures they found. What a great idea Alexa – thanks for sharing.
- Second Chances Girl shared her Essentials for Beach Day with kids with no affiliate links – its just a list of her favorites. Thanks for sharing and I wish I could travel to Miami for a visit!
- I realize its not specific to summer but I think family meal time is super important. Barb has wonderful wisdom and she shares her tips in How to Make Family Meals Happen .
- And last but not least there is a super list of summertime fun activities by Deborah over at A Delightful Glow. I missed the pic in my graphic so I’ve included it below. A great post for family fun ideas!
