Supplies to make your own Preschool Circle Time Morning Board Printables:
- White Tri-Fold Display Board that opens to 28″ x 44″ (Walmart)
- Clear Contact Paper
- Blu-Tack Reusable Adhesive
- White Card Stock
- White Copy Paper
- EPSON Printer
- EPSON Ink
- Scotch Thermal Laminator 2 Roller System (TL901)
- Scotch(TM) Thermal Laminating Pouches, 8.9 Inches x 11.4 Inches, 50 Pouches (TP3854-50)
- If you want to create stickers you’ll need some Avery® White Full-Sheet Labels for Inkjet Printers with TrueBlock(TM) Technology, 8-1/2 inches x 11 inches, Pack of 25 (8165) and you will just cut each sticker to size.
How to assemble your Preschool Circle Time Morning Board:
I am using blue tack to adhere all the items you see on our morning board to the display board. You could create a morning board in various ways – you could use thumb tacks and a cork board, magnets and a magnet board, foam core board, velcro, or something similar. I like the use of blue tack because I think it’s safer than thumb tacks or magnets.
To make the surface of the Tri-Fold Display board better for our blue tack, I covered the white side of the display board with clear contact paper. It’s the kind of material you’ll find for lining kitchen shelves and cabinets. Blue tack has a slight oiliness to it. The contact paper was the one way I could “laminate” the display board.
All of the other items that you see on our morning board were printed on card stock and laminated. You can laminate any item and then trim it, but I like to trim it first, laminate it, and then trim it again. It makes for more cutting, but I like the results.
Laminating these items is not required but it certainly helps them last longer and reduces wear and tear.
A few of the items were not laminated, the pages of stickers were created using 8 1/2 x 11 shipping labels, and some of the printables were printed on regular copy paper.
