I’m the mother of two adorable boys and am married to my best friend Jimmy. My passion is to be an encouragement to moms and I write on the topics of preschooler tools, games and crafts for kids, encouraging words for moms, and having fun together as a family. I publish free printables and crafts for little ones as well as easy to make recipes.
My hope is that through my blogging I can come alongside you, encourage you, and maybe inspire you in some small way. And maybe, if you have the time, you can return the same to me – via your comments, your blog, or your feedback. I welcome all of these.

I am a born-again Christian and I’ve been engaging in women’s studies for over 15 years. What I’ve realized over time is that I truly need fellowship with other women and that life is much harder if I try to do it without.
If you spend time with me on this journey, know that my hope is that you will be blessed by my blog. I have found in my journey of motherhood that I need friends who:
- have walked this parenting path ahead of me,
- will willingly walk it with me, and
- I want to invest in the lives of those who are coming up after me.
I have found a sense of community through my blogging that helps me connect with others and together we have become an online network of encouragement and support.
Since I spent some time preschooling my two children at home, many of the articles I’ve published are about teaching my preschoolers and cultivating in them a love of learning. I am constantly reading materials on child development and learning techniques and I share what I find on Happy and Blessed Home.
With over 12 years of art classes and a degree in advertising, I have some artistic talent that I use to create some fun printables. I share many of these printables with blog readers, and I create extra special printables for my subscribers. I’ve also enjoy photography with my Rebel DSLR.
I make nearly every meal for our family at home – its easier on the budget and the waistline. Making breakfast, lunch and dinner to feed a small platoon of eaters means I’m in the kitchen every day creating new recipes and making meals.
Right now my blogging schedule includes:
- Mondays – an encouraging post for moms – this may include a recipe, craft, or helpful tool for moms
- Wednesdays – a preschool tool (usually with a FREE printable)
- Fridays – I host Family Fun Friday where I feature great ideas for having fun together as a family, or time savers for moms that are written by my blogging friends
I’m not perfect and I don’t have it all figured out, but I know the One who does and I’m so grateful that He is in control and I’m not. I’m a work in progress and I’m so thankful that Jesus loves me, my husband, our children, and anyone reading these words.
In this season of life if I find a little spare time I enjoy reading, writing, and working out to old VHS tapes. My favorite activity is family time with my husband and two boys. I also enjoy cooking and hosting get-togethers with friends.
I truly desire to be an encouragement to moms, a source of inspiration for having fun with family, and creatively teaching children. If there is any way I can encourage you or if you’d like to glean some additional ideas please feel free to send me a message on Facebook or via my “Contact Me” page and I would love to talk with you.
May you find Joy in Life and Home!
