Notice the All American red, white and blue ingredients? 😉
Directions for the All American Blue Corn Chip Turkey Balls
- Preheat oven to 400 Degrees
- Crush 2 cups of blue corn chips into 1 cup of crushed chips
- In a large mixing bowl add your lean ground turkey, corn chips, parmesan cheese, and 1 teaspoon of garlic salt – and mix to combine.
- Crack open and add the insides of two eggs to the mixture and mix throughly.
- Using your clean hands, roll portions of the mixture into two-inch balls and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet to bake.
- Bake at 400 Degrees for ten minutes. Keep an eye on these turkey balls as the size greatly impacts the length of cooking time. Smaller turkey balls require less time while larger ones require a longer cook time by one to four minutes.
To create the decorative All American red, white, and blue serving:
- Cut the brick on monterey jack cheese into a few slices of large rectangles.
- Draw a star onto a pieces of 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper and cut out the star.
- Using the star as your guide, trim the slabs of cheese into a giant star shape.
- Get a round dish and create a circle of turkey balls in the center.
- Using a food processor, pulverize 1 Cup of blueberries and pour them over the top of your turkey balls.
- Add a circle of strawberries around the turkey balls and add the star shaped cheese centerpiece on top.
Now, I couldn’t stop at these fabulous All American Blue Corn Chip Turkey Balls which are perfect for any patriotic holiday party or Summer BBQ.
