Our newborn is sleeping well and nursing nicely. Our eldest is finally over scarlet fever and my husband and I are both relieved. Our biggest challenge these days is getting enough sleep. I am blessed to have married a wonderful man who not only helps with taking care of the boys, he helps with upkeep at home too. He is home for three weeks helping me adjust to having two boys at home and his help has been so valuable as I am still not at 100% since the delivery.
My free time is pretty limited with two boys to keep on schedule for feedings and nap time. When I do get a few free minutes though I love to read. I recently had an opportunity to read “The Good Wife’s Guide” by Darlene Sachet. It was a quick and easy read with lots of tips on how to take care of your home and your marriage – two very important things to a woman who is trying to live by God’s plan. I found it to be an excellent book. It was both encouraging and refreshing. If you’re interested it’s available at: www.timewarpwife.com. Darlene hosts a blog that uplifts and encourages women to live a Godly life.
As a wife I think it’s important to remember the influence we have in our homes. The scripture that comes to mind is Proverbs 14:1
Proverbs 14:1
but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.
Well, I need to get back to the routine of taking care of my boys and I pray you are enjoying some blessed quietness. Goodnight.
In His Grip,
Monica
