We are on the letter “C” in our preschool alphabet which is for cheerful. I couldn’t resist adding a video of our nearly nine-month-old because he is just so cute! He laughs easily and has a wonderful disposition. I enjoy watching his personality bloom as he becomes more alert and aware of his surroundings every day. Just one look at that grin and I know you’ll smile. Here is a video of our cute little “nugget”. I think you’ll agree, he is one cheerful baby.

Our journey to explore the alphabet and phonetic sounds continues. This past weekend our family introduced our two-year-old, “Peanut”, to the letter “C”. I used a magnet board and flashcards to hang pictures of a cake, car, clock, cow, and cat. In addition, I filled a sensory bucket with things that start with the letter C including a computer, camera, karate cat, cars, and a wooden and foam letter “C”. I also printed out the letter “C” free printable coloring pages from 1plus1plus1equals1.com.
Our Peanut is quite the painter so he loved it when I let him paint freely with the dot-paints I purchased at Michael’s. He especially enjoyed painting the cat and I video- taped it and have included it below. He couldn’t wait to show off his masterpiece to daddy when he came home from work. As a part of our review of the letter “C” we also talked about the word “color” which starts with the letter “C”. We read two books before nap-time about color.
Our little peanut knows his colors by name and loves to use them when creating art. Coloring and painting – those were the favorites with this letter in our preschool alphabet. I can’t help but smile as I write, C is for cheerful. I’m one cheerful mommy to be blessed by such cute little boys.
