I’m an online shopper. Seriously. With two little boys who love to play “hide and seek” in any store I frequent, online shopping is like a gift from heaven. I can remember shopping for clothes for myself at a local department store, and for one brief moment I thought I’d lost the most precious human beings in the world to me. Of course, when I heard them giggling underneath some dresses on a clothing rack, I figured out what had happened. But that nanosecond of uncertainty was enough to scare me to pieces.
Online shopping – it’s for me.
Get Cash BACK and pay it forward? Yes – please!
So, I was pretty thrilled to learn about a way to shop online that not only saves me money, it offers cash back. “What?” you may ask. Yes, I get the same sale prices I always find online, plus I get access to some amazing coupon codes AND I get cash back. And if that’s not enough, GivingAssistant.com also offers a service to pay out funds to your favorite charity. You can keep your cash back rewards or donate it to any of their supported non-profit organizations. I like the program so much that I signed up to be an affiliate. My affiliate links are included in this post.

Which Retail Stores?
Well, I’ve started Christmas shopping a little early and here I’ll share some of the goodies I found online at some of my personal favorite retailers: Toys R Us, Melissa & Doug, and Macy’s. Now, there are over 1,800 retailers that you can shop via GivingAssistant.com, so make sure to visit their site and see if your favorite store will pay you cash back too. Other awesome stores that you may want to check out: Amazon, Etsy, eBags, and even eBay!
Toys R Us
One of the things I love about Toys R Us is that it’s a one stop shop for all things toys. If you’ve been following my blog for long, then you know I’m pre-schooling my four-year-old at home based upon my preschool learning curriculum, Visual Montessori™. I’m always on the lookout for toys that can be used to teach him the tenants of Montessori: writing, spatial, order, fine motor skills, language, and habits that will serve him for a lifetime.
These are just some of the awesome toys I found online in my initial search. Not only will any of these make a great addition to our preschool at home efforts, they also make great gifts for my niece and nephew. Online Christmas shopping – here I come!
Melissa & Doug
Melissa & Doug has been a long time favorite of mine – ever since they refunded me over $100 in returns one Christmas. Even though my parents had not purchased from them directly, Melissa & Doug allowed me to exchange duplicate Christmas gifts valuing over $100. MUH, I applaud you Melissa & Doug – I’m a forever fan! In a way, our family had Christmas twice that year. Once on Christmas morning, and again when the exchanged goodies arrived from Melissa & Doug.
Well, Melissa & Doug is a part of GivingAssistant.com. They offer so many traditionally styled toys that are perfect for teaching preschoolers. Just check out my tops picks below. Plus, you get 4% back with Melissa & Doug. Wahoo!
Macy’s
Where I grew up, Macy’s was THE store. If you needed a special dress for Easter, you shopped at Macy’s. When I was old enough to go for a job interview, I purchased my first pair of high heels at Macy’s. When I need gorgeous clothes for my petite size frame – I always check out Macy’s.
So, when I’m looking at clothes to get for my kids, my niece, and my nephew, I’m going to look at Macy’s. They have some killer deals on kid’s clothes, and the brands they offer are always high quality. Plus, you get 7% in cash back when you shop Macy’s via GivingAssistant.com. 7% – AND you get coupons. Yeah – that is how I like to shop. Plus, I don’t have to worry about having a heart attack when my 4 and 6-year-olds hide under a rack of dresses. Phew!
How do cash back rewards work?
All of GivingAssistant.com’s affiliate commission goes to their subscribers (that’s me and you). They send out payments four times a year for cash back earned in the previous quarter (anything over $5). Recipients can choose to donate some of their earnings to the charity of their choice. In addition, GivingAssistant.com respects their subscriber’s privacy. E-mail addresses are never shared with, or sold to, third parties. It’s free to join, and all methods of payment are 100% FEE-free. You can even combine cash back with coupon codes to save even more!
GivingAssistant.com also has a referral program! Everyone you refer gets $5 cash for signing up. You can obtain your unique referral URL and access your real time stats on your account page. You’ll get paid 60 days after your referrals sign up and earn cash back.
Not all stores listed on GivingAssistant.com participate in the cash back program. However, they may still provide coupon codes and promos so you can save money on your purchases.
As more and more consumers shop online via GivingAssistant.com more charities can be helped! You can make a difference with your online shopping this year when you sign on to have GivingAssistant.com as your guide.
Shop and Pay it Forward?
I hope you’ll consider signing up for GivingAssistant.com; and make online shopping an opportunity to not only get cash back, but to pay it forward to those in need. I love how it’s transformed my online shopping experience and I hope it helps you too!
