This year I plan to decorate on a smaller scale. As in, mini Christmas trees. I think they are so adorable and I love how my four and six year olds can decorate the trees all by themselves. Decorating our home for Christmas is a family event and being able to create this fun DIY Mini Christmas Tree Ornaments Tutorial is something I enjoyed creating with my two boys.

DIY Mini Christmas Tree Ornaments Tutorial Materials
This craft is more than meets the eye. Spreading on the frosting, bending the hook, adding the snowflake decorations — all increase fine motor skill and hand-eye coordination for children. Plus, completing the project gives them a sense of accomplishment – great for early learning!
Materials needed to create Mini Christmas Tree Ornaments
- Ornaments hanging hooks – I used earring fixings b/c I couldn’t find our hooks 😉
- Sugar snowflakes by Wilton
- Honeycomb cereal
- White frosting
- A butter knife to spread the frosting
- A mini Christmas tree for decorating
Directions to create DIY Bee Craft
Step 1: Place hook trough an open hole in the Honeycomb Cereal.
Step 2: Add frosting to one side of the Honeycomb Cereal making sure to leave room for the hook.
Step 3: Press the snowflake decoration into the top of the frosting to secure it in place.
Step 4: Let dry for 1 hour. Once dry, use the edible ornaments to decorate your Christmas tree.
