We’re on a one word devotional for encouraging moms and our word for the week is “Dream”.
dream
Our family attended a dance recital this weekend and as we watched my niece’s daughter in her beautiful dress and ballet slippers on the stage, I was transformed into a little girl again.
Do you remember your little girl dreams? What were they? What did you dream of?
Do you have big girl dreams? Dreams for yourself, your family, your future?
Here is my great niece learning to ride a bike with my nephew Chris. See that “high-5”. Just imagine it’s my high-5 to you. To pursue your dreams.
I think it’s challenging as a mom with little ones to remember to dream, but I know that God created us for so much more than we often realize.
Over twenty years ago my sister Liz gave me a card to encourage me and I never forgot it.
The poem from the card is by Amanda Bradley and the tail-end was a part of the card she gave me and is based on my memory. I hope it encourages you the way it did me – to Dream.
A short video to inspire you based on the word “Dream“.
“Follow your dream.
Take one step at a time and don’t settle for less,
Just continue to climb.
Follow your dream.
If you stumble, don’t stop and lose sight of your goal
Press to the top.
For only on top can we see the whole view,
Can we see what we’ve done and what we can do;
Can we then have the vision to seek something new,
Press on.
Follow your dream.”
On the road to life, wherever you are,
May God guide your way as you reach for a star
And may you find always while He is close by,
No goal is too lofty, no dream is too high.
Dream sweet friend of mine. This week your devotional word is “Dream.” Share your dream with your spouse or a close friend, journal it, pray about it, and dare to dream even bigger dreams. Have a dream? I would love to hear from you in the comments. Or you could contact me via my “contact me” page.
My dream? Write a book, have a marriage that lasts our entire lives, disciple and raise up young men of character – those are just a few. My dreams have changed over the years but thanks to a loving family and community I have always been encouraged to dream. I pray that you will too.
“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” ~ Philippians 4:8 NLT
…and dream…
In His Grip,
Podemos ver lo que hemos hecho y lo que podemos hacer;
Podemos entonces tener la visión de buscar algo nuevo,
Continua superando y
Seguir nuestro sueño”.
