Easy Recipe: Chocolate Football Pops with SNICKERS® Inside
Now it would be an understatement to say football has been a huge part of my life. For what was nearly a decade, I was donning a cheerleading uniform almost every weekend in fall. I suffered from smelling like gym socks more times than I care to count, and have had the great joy of cheering at a National Championship for The University of Alabama. So it’s only natural that I would cheer on our local team and watch in anticipation as they try to make it to the next level of the playoffs.
A “Pop”ular Party Treat!
A Football Pop with SNICKERS® Inside is the perfect Game Day recipe for someone who wants to have a memorable party treat but doesn’t have a ton of time to create one. It took minutes to make these and they’re especially unique thanks to the SNICKERS® minis inside.

I thought it would be easier to create a video to show you how I made these fun and tasty Chocolate Football Pops with SNICKERS® Inside. The video is about 30 seconds long. I hope you enjoy. Please subscribe to my YouTube channel for more fun recipes, kid’s activities, and encouragement for moms! Chocolate Football Pops with SNICKERS® Inside YouTube Video I thought these would be hard to get out, but honestly, all I did was turn the tray over and they all popped out! You might notice that the “threads” did not turn out perfectly. I even tried putting the molds in the freezer with only the white chocolate threads — and freezing them before adding the first chocolate layer, and you know what? Same result. Somewhat mottled threads. But I assure you, the condition of the threads has no impact on how awesome these taste! I was going to get more photos of the football pops but guess what? They’re gone. Eaten by the chocolate heads. Did I mention I’m a chocolate head?
Party Tutorial: More Game Day Eats and Treats
While I was shopping for my football pop and candy mold I came across some awesome smaller molds for candies and thought “why not use cheese?” I created some fun cheese toppers in the shapes of football helmets and footballs. I got a bag of TOSTITOS® Scoops Party Size and TOSTITOS® Medium Chunky Salsa and created layered football snacks with them. I used Mild Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses for the toppers. Just melt your cheese in a double boiler or in the microwave (be careful not to scotch it) and press it into the mold. Once the cheese hardens, dislodge it from the mold and use a pair of kitchen scissors to cut the shapes free from the remaining cheese. I found this FUN football tray at Walmart and served the chips, salsa and cheese like this: And, of course, my printable football field would not be complete without some Skittles® from a Skittles® XL 41 oz. party sized bag. The beauty of using Skittles® on this free printable football field is that they come in array of colors and flavors. Fabulous flexibility for representing teams and enjoying tasty treats! And party refreshments would not be complete without Pepsi™ on ice. I love being able to keep party food simple and fun. I found the photo props, napkins, plates, and other party decorations at Walmart. It’s so nice to be able to get both food and party supplies in one stop! Ta-da! A fun and festive football party set-up perfect for football fans who want to celebrate their team’s successes.
