This blog is created using Elegant Themes.  I’ve been using these themes for nine months and am very happy with the control and customizability of these themes.  I looked into Genesis and even used it live on my site for a few days but I was very frustrated by the inability to use certain plugins with it and I would have to spend another $39 for forms so I could have a “Contact Me” page.  I’m so pleased with these themes that I am an affiliate and this post includes affiliate links.

Elegant Themes included a “Contact Me” form with the theme package and so far every plugin that I’ve used has integrated perfectly. There were a few tweaks I wanted to implement and I e-mailed the Elegant Themes help desk and they were quick to respond.  They also have a forum where you can research your topics of interest and a whole host of plugins and shortcodes.  If you purchase the developer’s package you can have drag and drop capabilities to design custom pages and posts. I’ve used them myself and they are actually pretty easy to use and I don’t have to know any coding.

If you decide you like the themes but don’t need a developer’s package you can also get ALL the themes for $39.  If you would like help setting up your blog, I can help you.  I will create a custom logo, install up to 10 plugin’s including the ones you’ll need to protect your site from SPAM, and show you how to drive your c-panel for $99 in a 1/2 hour skype call.  $99 is due in advance and is payable via Paypal. I can customize your blog with custom colors and fonts, but the $99 only includes 5 hours of work.  That’s about $20 per hour – you won’t find more affordable help anywhere else.  After the first 5 hours, the rate goes up to $35 per hour.

I started blogging in January of 2012 and in November I moved my blog from Blogger to WordPress.  If you need help moving I can tell you how I did it (without the help of a designer) via an extension to the skype phone call if you need it, but again, the $99 price only includes 5 hours of assistance.
