We’re just wrapping up the letter “S” and this post is designed to offer encouragement for moms. The word that has inspired me this week is:
A short video to lift you up and inspire you in your mommy-hood based on the word SACRED.
The bible tells us that you and I are the place where God dwells, his temple, and that as His temple we are sacred. What does that mean? Here is a little insight from Corinthians.
You realize, don’t you, that you are the temple of God, and God himself is present in you? No one will get by with vandalizing God’s temple, you can be sure of that. God’s temple is sacred—and you, remember, are the temple.
SACRED isn’t just for religious symbols. You and I are dedicated and set-apart by God for something really special. If you’re a mom, you’re already living that really special assignment. You are set-apart by a holy God who has dedicated you exclusively for the purpose of being a mommy to the little ones God’s given you. Your work is SACRED.
I pray you are encouraged by the word SACRED this week. Be looking for the sacred in your life. For me it’s when my little one-year-old stops crying when I pick him up. Knowing that he is soothed by my touch is sacred, set-apart for me as his mom. Or when my nearly three year old curls up like a little ball with his knees on my lap and his head buried in my chest trying to fall asleep. His trust and need for me are sacred.
In His Grip,
