An excerpt from a guest post I’ve written for today,
“Esther did not overcome her circumstances because she was beautiful. Esther did something that many of us would struggle to do given her same circumstances, she trusted God. A very important thing we should learn from this humble Queen – she got things right with God before she made a major move in her life and in her marriage.
She prayed.
She fasted.
She humbled herself before God…”
First I’d like to welcome visitors to my blog who may be visiting from Triple Braided. My friend Brenda and I share a common love of God’s word and we both have a heart for women. I pray you find some valuable encouragement here. It’s a blessing and a privilege to be writing to you as a sister in Christ.
For those who have been reading my blog for awhile, I will be doing a series on the Jewish Queen Esther of the bible. She was queen of Persia during a difficult time of persecution of the Jews and she saved her entire race by following God’s leading. You can read my introductory post on Esther being posted on November 28th at Triple Braided.
I believe there is much to be learned from Esther’s story and I hope you’ll follow along with me. If you’d like to read more on Esther and share in this study, please sign up with your e-mail (on my sidebar to the right) so you’ll catch every post.
In addition to Esther, I will continue with some holiday activities for preschoolers and posts to offer encouragement during this busy time of year.
To read our first installment of Esther, you’ll need to hop on over to Triple Braided and we’ll get started. I’ll post the entire schedule for our study at Happy and Blessed Home in the next day or so.
I pray you’ll join me.
In His Grip,
Monica
