- Rediscovered Families shared a wonderful post on Treasuring the Precious Moments with your Children where Sharon writes, “Take the time to really notice your children while they are still with you.” It’s an excellent post with tips on living in the moment.
- I love this post by Alice at Mums Make Lists where she shares that She Really Rocks Motherhood. I think we moms do need to give ourselves credit when we get it right – Thanks Alice for your encouraging post!
- Sew Lah Tea Dough shared some awesome ideas for Planning Meals While Camping. Our family loves camping and it’s such a great way to spend time together.
- Scott from Choose to Trust writes about Teaching Our Children Well and it’s more about showing them how we ourselves are flawed and how we need God’s grace. Great article to encourage parents.
- Pam from Pam’s Party and Practical Tips shares a guest post on Your Modern Family about throwing a Birthday Party on a Budget. She has some great ideas for saving money and having a memorable party.
- And Helicopter Mom and Just Plane Dad shared an insightful post on Decorating Your Teen’s Bedroom. They write, “It’s an ideal project for both parents and teens to work and have fun on together!” I agree.
Food
Cooking is so much fun for me. I am blessed by a wonderful husband who watches our boys while I make dinner. I find these blog posts on cooking awe-inspiring. I hope these posts get your creative kitchen juices flowing!
- Carole from My Kitchen Escapades wrote a guest post on Made from Pinterest that looks super yummy and makes enough for leftovers – Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole. Carole has six kids and writes, “Every one of my kids LOVED this dinner and that rarely happens.” Great work Carole!
- And I had no idea you could make bread in a slow cooker – did you? Well Gina from Klienworth & Co. taught me a few things with her post Slow Cooker Gluten Free Garlic Bread. Wow – I need to try that recipe!
- Dana from This Silly Girl’s Life is a former professional chef turned blogger and she shared Greek Panzanella Salad that looks not only delicious but healthy. Thanks Dana.
- Lizbeth from Just Dip It In Chocolate shared an Easy Pierogi Turkey Casserole Recipe. In case you are wondering, “these delicious little potato dumplings are filled with cheese, broccoli, mushrooms or cabbage…” Lizbeth – I love how you customized the recipe. 🙂
- Christine over at I Dig Pinterest shared Cafe Rio Sweet Pork Burritos where she writes, “The key to the pork’s tenderness is the overnight marination in coke and slow cooking it on a low heat.” Patience pays off and this dish looks amazing.
- Lori from Lori’s Culinary Creations created a Turkey with Blueberries and Peaches Dish that has melt-in-your-mouth goodness written all over it. Pinned it for Thanksgiving recipes!
Learning
I am amazed by all the wonderful ideas for teaching little ones. You’ll never run out of ideas from these talented bloggers.
- Little Bins for Little Hands shared an adorable Dinosaur Sensory Science Experiment. I love how her little one played with the Dinosaurs and it resulted in lots of fun.
- One Creative Mommy shared a wonderful article on Making Friends at School. She writes, “If you think back to the kids you really liked growing up, what do you remember? … the way you felt about yourself when you were with them.” She’s teaching her girls how to make and be good friends – what a wonderful lesson to share.
- And I love this post by the Measured Mom on Creating Alphabet Letters at the Kitchen Table. It’s just a great way to have creative fun and teach little ones about the alphabet.
- Lora from My Blessed Life shared on There is Grace a well-written and informative post on Why We Homeschool: The Great {Education} Debate. She writes, “To put it simply, our goal isn’t to shelter, our goal is to lay a good foundation. We have total peace that God has directed us on this path…”
- Puddle Wonderful Learning shared a neat idea to get your kid talking about their first day at school – First Day of School Conversation Snacks. You’ll have quite the snack mix when you’re done mixing it!
