Family Fun
One of the things that I love about being a parent is all the creativity it takes to teach children new things. I LOVE being creative so I think being a mom is so much fun. Well – I’m not alone and I found these posts on creative parenting to be just the ticket for getting my wheels spinning about some of the new things my boys are learning about in our home. Whether you’re looking for something simple – like learning with letter tiles or FREE printables, or something a bit more complex – I think you’re gonna love this week’s great features.
- I love this great idea from Theres Just One Mommy. She was cleaning out the closet and shazam – the kids found letter tiles in a zippered banana and just like that she created some Early Literacy Fun. Way to turn every opportunity into a learning opportunity!
- Amy who blogs at Plain and not so Plain is obviously very detail oriented and she painstakingly assembled a list of FREE Kindergarten/First Grade Curriculum Online. If you are looking for resources make sure to check out her post.
- As a creator and curator of printables myself, I couldn’t pass on sharing this great FREE Spring Fun Pack for Kids over at Marriage Motherhood and Missions.com. Make sure to stop by, give the ladies there a “thank you” and download your free copy when you have a minute.
- Tonia at The Sunny Patch shared her
Favorite Music Resources – something I love to learn about but know very little about. Tonia – thank you for sharing these marvelous resources.
- And with two little boys of my own, I loved this post on Raising a Gentleman by Three Kids and Fish. I love how Cathy writes, “Use your words and not your hands…watch the words you speak because they have the power to help or hurt.” Wonderful parenting advice – thank you.
- And I’m such a visual learner, I love this post from The Deliberate Mom where she is Using a Picture Schedule with Children – what a great way to remind children about new skills they’ve just learned. Thanks for sharing!
