Family Fun
Last week’s Family Fun Friday blogger’s focused on the goodness of cherishing childhood with posts on being intentional about having fun, getting outdoors to create a garden, pick strawberries or do some landscaping, and I also enjoyed posts about the sweet spot of motherhood and learning with other families. Wonderful posts from the hearts of some creative and inspiring bloggers – I think HappyandBlessedHome.com readers will enjoy these posts.
- I love how Herchel at Scruggbugcorner is focuses on having fun with her children while they are young. In her post Childhood Passes Quickly, she writes, “They will have memories of crafting with me. They will remember the times that I snuck up on them like a ninja. My son will remember that I was Robin to his Batman.” Just awesome Herchel!
- A must read for anyone planning landscaping this spring, Leslie’s Tips for Landscaping Beginners from Seasoned Homemaker is super informative and helpful. She writes, “Before we started our backyard landscape we stood outside while it was raining and watched where the water drained.” Drainage is a huge consideration when planning your next landscaping project.
- Again Herchel at Scruggbugcorner captured my heart with her post This sweet sweet age. She writes, “Now they are at the age where they are spreading their wings and testing their strength.” She’s finally experiencing the sweet spot of motherhood and it’s so good to see.
- My Big Fat Happy Life shared a wonderful post about Gardening with a toddler. Gardening has some fantastic benefits for young children. She writes, “Gardening allows your child to touch the soil, seeds, and plants. It also teaches your child a variety of life lessons, my favorite: how plants grow, how to be patient, and how to nurture.”
- Alexa-Cade has discovered a family fun activity perfect for toddlers and preschoolers alike. It her post Strawberry Picking Farm Fun she writes, “There are not many activities that my teeneager and preschooler both like to do together, so when they both were excited about the trip, it was like a festivus miracle!”
- Megan at Education Possible shared an insightful post for homeschoolers titled Learning with other Families. The secret, Megan explains, is “We need other homeschooling families to walk the journey with us; for camaraderie, for ideas, and to sometimes share the load.”
