Cleaning the yard is a way to teach young children how to respect the world around them. My son loves doing this and calls it a treasure hunt because he always finds something that he thinks is interesting. This also teaches a lesson in being responsible. Great way to be active as a family.

Thank you for the great idea! You’re right about finding interesting things. The previous owners of our property had a dog so my son is always finding dog toys out there. What I love about your idea is that it teaches children responsibility and to be concerned about the environment. Thanks for sharing!
