My boys love adventure – especially when it features one of their favorite characters from Disney Jr. – Miles – from Miles from Tommorwland. If you haven’t seen the new Miles from Tomorrowland Mission Rover – now available at Target, you’ll love this post. I’m reviewing the product and giving away a FREE 20 Page Rocket Ship Activity Pack for kids! Full Disclosure: TOMY toys provided one Miles from Tomorrowland Mission Rover for my review – but all opinions are mine alone. Scroll down for your free space-themed activity pack!
Miles from Tomorrowland
My boys truly enjoy the TV Series on Disney Junior aptly named “Miles from Tomorrowland”. In the series, Miles, a 7-year-old boy, travels through space with his family including his sister Loretta, his dad, Leo, and his mom, Phoebe.
Together, the Callisto family are on a mission to connect the universe. They work for the Tomorrowland Transit Authority as a part of the Tomorrowland Alliance. I love the TV series’ focus on family, friendship, and working for a greater good.
Miles from Tomorrowland Mission Rover
The Mission Rover comes with a 3” Miles figure, Terra Skiff ride-on accessory and four space tools. The other Miles from Tomorrowland Characters you see in the photo below make for great cake decorations (and sometimes additional play toys).
The Mission Rover is the perfect toy to help kids imagine exploring strange new worlds. With movable arms including a claw that grips and closes; and an arm the launches rocket bullets. The back of vehicle opens into a Space Lab playset where Leo gives Miles missions.
Once I freed the Mission Rover from the packaging, the boys put everything together. Assembly is simple – just snap on the orange tires, snap in the blue cargo bay doors, connect the yellow windshield, and add the moving arms. The arms can be repositioned on either the top or the sides of the rover – ideal for various types of play.
We set up our Space Capsule with Glow-in-the-Dark Universe Playhouse from Pacific Play Tents and one of our favorite picnic blankets; and the boys had a blast pretending they were exploring new realms of outer space with the Mission Rover. Once they had everything assembled they even went inside the tent to explore a “moon crater”.
The boys played for over two hours with this new toy. They love the blast board and tools and all the moving parts. The claw was a big hit with my 4-year-old. The Mission Rover also has flashing lights, and makes sounds and phrases from the TV Series Miles from Tomorrowland. It definitely kept my boys engaged and they’ve been asking to play with it every day since we got this new space toy!
