These printable Christmas tree ornaments are based upon bible verses that coincide with advent – the days leading up to Jesus’ birth on Christmas Day. The verses and ornaments are included in the printable pack and are numbered for easy reference.
You can use virtually any type of craft material to decorate the ornaments. To make a fancier version, just print them on colored card stock or scrapbook paper. You can make these ornaments match almost any color theme to go along with your Christmas decorations.

I have two preschoolers at home, so our ornaments will be very “decorative” this year!
We added glitter glue to our ornaments and stickers from the movie “Toy Story”. Of course stickers go on fancy ornaments – it’s Christmas!
My four-year-old cut his ornaments out all by himself. Cutting is a fabulous fine-motor skill exercise and a great way to improve his dexterity in time for learning how to write. If your family enjoys these types of printables and activities, I share loads of free printables, games, and crafts for kids on my blog – make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any of my free printables, recipes, and ideas for family fun!
After all the ornament ‘modifications” mommy isn’t sure that she’ll be able to match the scripture to the right ornament – but it doesn’t really matter… What matters is that we’re having fun together and celebrating the true meaning of Christmas as a family!
Our ornaments are a work in progress, but I’ve already laid out our Advent calendar in a count-down fashion. You can order your numbered ornaments differently, but I love the idea of counting up to the star on top. We’ll crown our advent calendar tree with a star on Christmas day – what a great way to end the countdown! I used camo gift wrap for our advent tree – but you could use any kind of gift wrapping paper or poster board to match your own home’s decor.
