It’s that time of year – time for a new school year calendar update! Last year I created a series of printables to teach basic skills to young children – like counting the days of the month on a calendar (see my Preschool Circle Time Morning Board Printables post for more info.). My previous calendar ended in July of 2014. So this post includes an updated calendar for school year 2014-2015. Affiliate links are included in this post for your convenience.

FREE Calendar Stickers and FREE Tracing Calendar
Here you can see our preschool circle time morning board with our calendar front and center. The calendar we’re using is in the middle panel towards the lower left. The original calendar is a perpetual calendar with numbers for every day of the month that we add laminated number cards to with blue tack. Everything you need to create your own perpetual calendar including free calendar stickers, tracing calendar and perpetual calendar are included in this post.
I used free online clip art to make the calendar colorful and fun. I left the numbers off of the months of the year so that you can reuse the calendar again and again. I also created numbers and stickers to help my little guy with identifying special holidays and events as well as counting days. The download includes the stickers, tracing pages and everything you see on the calendar in this post. You can fill in the days of the year with numbered stickers, tracing, or free-hand – it all depends upon the age and skill level of your child. I laminated the calendar pages using a Scotch Thermal Laminator 2 Roller System (TL901) and some Scotch(TM) Thermal Laminating Pouches, 8.9 Inches x 11.4 Inches, 50 Pouches (TP3854-50)
If you want to create stickers you’ll need some Avery® White Full-Sheet Labels for Inkjet Printers with TrueBlock(TM) Technology, 8-1/2 inches x 11 inches, Pack of 25 (8165) and you will just cut each sticker to size. To fasten the days of the month to the page of each month, I used Blu-Tack Reusable Adhesive. Make sure you get the blue colored tack. Any other tack does not work as well.
FREE Calendar Stickers
These stickers are a great way to denote special holidays or birthdays. You’ll need to get the 8 1/2″ x 11″ “label” sheets so you can print this page off and create stickers (free calendar stickers are included in the download). I just cut off one sticker at a time as we use them and you can too. 🙂
Months of the Year
A calendar like this one is a great way to teach young children about the months and days of the years. Pin this image and share with your friends!
Calendar Tracing Pages for Every Month
In addition, I downloaded some tracing fonts from Font Space and used them to create calendar months with traceable numbers. The download includes August 2014 through July 2015. Just in time for back to school, and a great way for little ones to practice their handwriting.

Learn to Read Preschool Alphabet Series
In our homeschool preschool we’ve also been studying the alphabet. To help my two little guys learn not only their letters, but short words that start with each of the alphabet letters, I’ve created printable packs for each letter that include flashcards, counting, matching, math, games, crafts and more. In all I’ve created over 1,200 pages of alphabet printables. Some are online that readers and visitors can download, but the majority are for subscribers. Each letter has about 30 fun activities for preschool learning.
If you need help accessing the printables, please read my post, How to Download FREE printables from HappyandBlessedHome.com. For some examples, see below.
