Just think, soft, tender, juicy T-bone steak smothered in rich garlic mushroom sauce and paired with grilled corn and baked potatoes. So mouthwatering, everyone will ask for more.
It’s easy to create this satisfying and savory dish in just a few simple steps. Ahhh… the beauty of summer – grilling outdoors!
Garlic Mushroom Sauce Recipe
Now, before you make the garlic mushroom sauce, you’ll want to have everything else almost ready to eat. For this recipe we first cooked up some T-bone steaks on the grill. Always preheat the grill before you start grilling. Get the grill to 250 to 300 degrees before you add the meat.
Cooking the meat is determined by the weight and the desired done-ness. A great T-done steak can take anywhere from 3 to 7 minutes per side. The key to knowing when the steak is ready to be removed from the grill is to use a meat thermometer. Take the meat’s temperature to ensure it’s at 165 degrees internally before taking it off the grill. Then let the meat “rest” for a few minutes before you serve it and/or cut it open.
Corn on the cob and baked potatoes served as hearty sides, and we grilled up some Oscar Meyer Hot Dogs for the kids.
Once everything was grilled and almost ready to eat. I created this Garlic Mushroom sauce to top the T-bone steaks.

Where to get Great Grilling Ingredients and Supplies
I picked up everything for our great grill out at Giant Eagle. You can find the T-Bone steaks in the meat department where you find signs for Market District meats. You’ll find condiments like Hellmann’s Mayonnaise, Heinz BBQ Sauce, Heinz Ketchup and Heinz Mustard in the condiment aisle.
Giant Eagle is the perfect place for everything grilling. You can find deserts, kerosene, meats, drinks, and more throughout the store.
All the great grilling ingredients meant I could create a hot dog topping bar for my boys who love ketchup and mustard on their hot dogs.
Plus, the Pepperidge Farm Hot Dog Buns come in a variety that is sliced from the top. This helps hold the hot dog and toppings in place even when my messiest eater is eating hot dogs!
Hot dogs, T-bone steaks, potatoes, and corn on the cob go perfectly with Lipton’s Peach Iced Tea. Especially on warm summer days!
