Here we are heading into the wonderful and eagerly-anticipated spring season, and yet I still have a bend toward the hearty and filling recipes that fill the stomachs of every man and boy. My favorite types of meals always include a delicious main dish, with a beautiful salad, and a hearty side dish. I get such joy from seeing empty serving-platters and cleaned plates! This week our featured posts include: Hearty Family Dinner Recipes, and they also fall on the comfort side of the menu.
First, we have homemade crescent rolls which are sure to fill up our ever-hungry families! Also, a beautiful Easy Cast Iron Whole Roasted Chicken made with gala apples, and this recipe is both simple and sure to please a hungry family. Additionally we have featured a hearty Steakhouse Style Twice Baked Potato–it look so delicious and filling!
In addition, we also have a flavor-bursting Spicy Asian Vegan Meatball! You read that correctly. I have included a vegan recipe in the hearty family recipe lineup. I love trying new things, and as long as I sneak in (completely deceptive–I know) my counterfeit ingredient–then no one will realize the difference. My family loves a black bean brownie recipe, and yet they “hate” beans–complete proof that anything can be hidden.
Additionally, we have Pork Chops with Sautéed Apples, and yes this sounds so amazingly-tasty! I am thinking that a delicious Envy or Jazz apple might add just the right sweet to this recipe!
