My husband and I are at 36 weeks and counting. At 3 cm dilated it’s hard not to be anxious about our son’s pending arrival. When I look back over the pregnancy though I am amazed at how God has been there for us – watching and protecting us. We’ve had a rocky road of multiple miscarriages over the years and one baby at 30 weeks. So to make it to 36 weeks has truly been a miracle. Even though I still have to wait I am reminded of God’s perfect timing and how when I trust in Him, His plan is always better than my own. I am also so thankful for the love and prayer covering of so many of our friends and family and the strength of my husband during this time. There has been such a peace encircling my heart – I can feel the power of prayer. I am humbled and thankful.
This blog is dedicated to giving the Lord praise and thanks. May these words from Psalm 16 be a round-the clock encouragement. He fills us with joy in His presence and eternal pleasures at His right hand.
Psalm 16
entire passage at: Bible Gateway Psalm 16
1 Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge.
2 I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.”
5 LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup;
you make my lot secure.
6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.
7 I will praise the LORD, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
8 I keep my eyes always on the LORD.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,
11 You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
