The weather is changing, and here in Colorado our weather seems to be a bit flip-floppy, in fact we are expecting a heavy-wet blanket of snow to hit this weekend. The nicer weather always inspires my green thump (which isn’t really all that green). Looking out my window my eye is drawn to the intensely-pink flowers growing on my tree (sadly, I have no idea what kind of tree), and I also notice how my flower bed seems to cry out for desperate need of attention, with grass popping up in spots where where it’s not allowed.
Oh beloved spring, you are so beautiful, and yet that beauty tends to look so overgrown in my yard. This week, our featured bloggers help with activities for our children while we trim the trees and clean up the yard. Spring Activities for Preschoolers and Toddlers will be a huge help for every busy mama!
First, Frozen Slime Sensory Play would entertain preschoolers for a while. I like the idea of changing the texture from regular slime to frozen, and also making it themselves would make this craft even more appealing.
Next, DIY Kid-Safe Play Dirt, this looks simple and Jenny said on her blog, “…[held] my kid’s attention for hours.” I say yes please to that!
In addition, Coffee Filter Butterflies are always cute and springy, and what refrigerator doesn’t need a few of these displayed on it? She also has a price breakdown–I see this girl going places!
Next, Contact Paper Crafts for Kids–there are an assortment of fun crafts using contact paper–a hit for days where spring storms keep everyone inside.
Lastly, I love this, Water Play Activities for Babies and Toddlers. I fully intend on taking a few of these ideas for my massive yard cleanup activities.
Happy Spring, and have a fantastic week from Family Fun Friday.
